Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

The pizza is excellent here, mostly because of the crust. YUM!

Boardwalk pizza shop. Always very crowded as its right near 1st street. Standard pizza menu: breadsticks, mozzarella sticks etc they also sell subs and boli and calzones. Pretty good pizza, kinda reminds me of Little Cesar's. They also serve beer on tap and bottles. Not a bad place for some pizza.

It was yummy pizza especially the white. We were able to seat our party of 13 together, we like you could buy soda by the pitcher.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! The manager is nasty and a total jerk!!!!! When eating today in their business, my son dropped his cup by the trash can. He started to laugh at himself, while he picking up the ice. The nasty jerk came behind him and said a rude comment behind him. I then said to him excuse me sir but I was giving him a napkin he was cleaning it up! Then he proceeded to say more rude comments to me. As we were walking out the owner was standing there, I said I'm very sorry but my son was trying to clean his mess, I looked at him told him I didn't like his rude comments toward my son. But he didn't leave it there on the boardwalk in front of a crowd of people he called me Humpty Dumpty!! Now as you can guess I'm not a small women, but that was inappropriate and very ignorant!! How do you call a paying customer that and then just walk away!!! So take my advice you walk by 3 other pizza places go to them before you walk in that door!!! I will be making sure everyone knows about that place and the nasty manager who works there!!!!!

I have come to this place in the past here and there... not one of my must stops but they do make a great cheesesteak and be warned the subs are huge 19 inches... my husband and I were stunned -- had we know we would have ordered the 1/2 sub. The fries were very disappointing though, I was expecting beach style fries and we got McDonalds style... I will pass next time. They serve Birch Beer --- thats a WIN in itself. I think they are pricey even with the huge portion. The people seem to be ok for a young crowd working there. The cleaning could be better as well because at opening time - the floors were already dirty in the off season. I would come back though.

Very disappointed so we came here years ago. Pizza sauce was off. Had too much seasoning in it. Same with the chicken parmesan hero. Sauce again too much rosemary or thyme. And service was not the best. We asked for a full sized hero which the server confirmed but of course only gave us half order. so overall experience not so great sadly as we had found memories of what the food was like before.

AMAZING chicken cheesesteaks, regular cheesesteaks, any of their subs for that matter. You'll never find a more loaded sub in Ocean City. I've never had a bad meal there. OH, and the Meatballs....YUMMY!!!!!

No one with a smartphone and knowledge of yelp should ever eat here. The food is so mediocre and lame. We got a large white pizza with spinach, which was just a cheap spongy pizza without sauce (where's the ricotta) and shredded spinach on top- some of it in frozen balls and some in thick oregano-like flakes. Also got a medium pepperoni and mozzarella sticks and breadsticks. All of it was so mediocre and overpriced. There are good places on the boardwalk- this is not one of them!!!

Horrible food, the cheesesteak was just disgusting. Lost our appetite, paid $20 for horrible cheesesteak. The employees didn't even know what they had for food. Overall disgusting. Avoid this place. Only reason it has a one star is for the 2beer types they had... Lol

I've reviewed this pizza place in the past as my absolute favorite. However, tonight we came for pizza to be told they will only sell slices and drinks. The girl went on to say, "we all have second jobs and I have to work at 8:15 tomorrow morning". It was only 9:35pm when we walked in. She then stated, " we don't want to be here all night, we want to go home." Thinking this place will now be crossed off of my list of places to eat while on vacation. Totally disappointed!!

Pat was a jerk. Restaurant is dirty-as. Locked the door on customers in a severe weather situation. Employees less interested in serving customers than chatting and hanging out.

Sitting in Caruso's plastic old-skool diner style booth took me back to 1993 at the Jersey Shore, sharing a fresh pie with my brother and cousins on a hot summer night. Caruso Pizza is what it is and what I expected. Overpriced, below average pizza and sandwiches on the OCMD boardwalk. The pizza didn't look too appetizing, and appeared to have an odd crust so I opted for the chicken cheese steak. The chicken was dry, though they gave me ample onions, peppers and provolone cheese. The roll was nice and soft and seemed to be fresh. The "half" sandwich (about 12" long) came to around $12 after tax. I found this a little on the high side but maybe it's not for the portions. I could have done with about 1/2-3/4 of that 12" sub but that was the smallest option. While ordering, I asked for a water and was charged $2.81 for a bottled water. After they rang me up I told the guy I would have been fine with a paper cup and water from the tap. He offered to refund me for the bottled water but I told him that wasn't necessary. My friends enjoyed their pizza and steak sandwiches about as much as I did. Overall, the place was quick and the employees were polite, though I did not think the food was anything worth raving about.

Locked people in and out during a storm and handles situation poorly. Also don't take American Express, give me a break. pizza.

Pizza was pretty good. That's about it. There were SO MANY flies flying around inside it really ruined the dining experience. I get that being in the boardwalk you can expect a less clean environment but the dozens of flies flying around each table was simply gross. Won't be going back here next time we're in town.

Recently stop in here for lunch and purchased the Italian cold cut whole sub for $18.75. It was a large sub about 18 inches long. The problem I have with it is it was not truly an Italian Hoagie. It was average at best. For the price I expected better.

This pizza is completely sub par. The calzone is not a calzone at all but baked bread with various melted cheeses in it. What's worse is the rudeness of the staff. Do not go!!

Not much to brag on, wife had a cheesesteak that was triple peppered, I even tasted it to see how bad it was. My chicken parm sub was made from the most hard pieces of chicken tenders on the face of the earth and filled with bad sauce. I guess maybe they make pizza better but we didn't try it.
